Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 10 July 2026
Dinor exists to run real restaurants. This policy draws the line between normal use and abuse — it applies to restaurant owners, their staff and anyone interacting with a Dinor QR code or API. It is part of the Terms of Service.
1. Run a lawful business
- Menus may only offer items your business can lawfully sell, with honest names, descriptions and prices. No illegal goods, no deceptive listings, no using menu fields for unrelated advertising.
- Follow the licensing and food-safety rules that apply to your business (e.g. FSSAI) and configure taxes truthfully on your bills.
- Upload only images you have the right to use; no unlawful, hateful or sexually explicit content anywhere on the platform.
2. Don't abuse the ordering system
- No placing orders you don't intend to honour and no entering someone else's identity as your own at a table.
- No attempting to guess table PINs, enumerate QR tokens, replay verification codes, or bypass staff approval, rate limits or session ownership checks.
- No signing up with fake or disposable identities to farm free trials — one free month per business.
3. Don't attack the platform
- No unauthorised access attempts, credential stuffing, scraping of other restaurants' data, or probing of accounts that aren't yours.
- No load testing, denial-of-service, vulnerability scanning or automated traffic against the production service without written permission — if you've found a security issue, report it per the Security page instead.
- No malware, no interfering with other users' sessions, no reselling or white-labelling the service without an agreement.
4. Respect people's data
Customer names, phone numbers and order histories visible in your dashboard are for serving those customers. Don't export them for spam, sell them, or use them outside your restaurant relationship — you are responsible for complying with the privacy laws that apply to your business.
5. Enforcement
Violations can lead to content removal, feature restrictions, suspension or termination — immediately and without notice for serious abuse (attacks, fraud, illegal content), after a warning where that's proportionate. Fees are not refunded for enforcement actions (see the Refund Policy). To report abuse of the platform by anyone, email hqdinor@gmail.com.
