Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 July 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Dinor, an independent software business founded and operated by Joshua Kuriakose (Kottayam, Kerala, India), and govern your use of the Dinor platform at https://dinor.in and its subdomains. By creating an account or placing an order through a Dinor QR code, you accept them.
1. What Dinor is
Dinor is a software platform that lets restaurants publish digital menus, take orders through table QR codes, manage tables, staff and branches and track bills and reports. Dinor is a technology provider, not a restaurant. The food, its preparation, pricing, taxes and service are entirely the responsibility of the restaurant you order from.
2. Accounts & eligibility
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract to hold a Dinor account.
- Registration requires a working email address, which must be verified with a one-time code before the account can sign in.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done under your account, including staff accounts you create. Staff sign in with the phone number and password the owner assigns.
- Account information must be accurate — a dead or fake email means you cannot verify, recover or be notified about your account.
3. Free trial, plans & payment
- Every new registration includes one free month of the Basic plan, starting when the account is verified. One trial per business.
- Paid plans are prepaid for 30 days at a time and processed through Razorpay. There is no auto-renewal — we never charge you without you initiating a payment.
- When a trial or paid period ends, the account is not deleted: it drops to a browse-only mode with your data intact until you purchase a plan.
- Plan prices are shown on the Plans page and may change; a change never affects a period you have already paid for.
- All payments are final — see the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
4. Restaurant responsibilities
- You are the seller of record for everything ordered through your menu: food quality and safety, accurate menu descriptions and prices, applicable taxes (including correct GST configuration on your bills) and compliance with food-business licensing (e.g. FSSAI) are yours.
- You are responsible for how your staff use the platform and for handling your customers' data (names, phone numbers, orders) lawfully.
- Table QR codes and PINs are your access controls — print, place and rotate them sensibly.
- If you accept payments through your own connected Razorpay account or UPI, that payment relationship is between you and your customer.
5. Diners
Diners order without creating an account by entering a name and phone number at the table. Placing an order is an offer to purchase from the restaurant, which its staff may accept or decline. Bills, receipts and any disputes about food or service are between the diner and the restaurant; Dinor provides the software that records them.
6. Acceptable use
Use of the platform must follow the Acceptable Use Policy (no unlawful menus, no abuse of the ordering, QR, PIN or verification systems, no interference with the service). We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or the AUP — where practical we will warn first, but immediate suspension is reserved for serious abuse.
7. Your content & our platform
Menus, images and business information you upload remain yours; you grant us the licence needed to host and display them to your customers. The Dinor software, brand and design are ours; you get a non-exclusive right to use the platform while your account is in good standing and no right to copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.
8. Availability & disclaimers
We work to keep Dinor fast and available, but the service is provided "as is" without an uptime guarantee — restaurants should have a fallback (like taking orders manually) for outages, connectivity problems or maintenance windows. We are not liable for lost profits or indirect damages. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid to us in the 30 days before the event giving rise to the claim.
9. Termination
You can stop using Dinor at any time — simply don't purchase the next period, or request full deletion via the Data Deletion Request page. We may terminate or suspend accounts for breach of these terms, abuse, or legal requirement. Billing records are retained as required by law even after deletion.
10. Governing law & changes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in Kerala, India having jurisdiction. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice and the date at the top always reflects the current version. Questions: hqdinor@gmail.com.
