Cookie Policy

Short version: Dinor sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. What follows is exactly what the platform stores in your browser and the narrow cases where a third party may set cookies.
1. No first-party cookies
The Dinor website, dashboard and QR ordering pages do not set cookies. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to — no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.
2. What we store instead: local storage
To keep you signed in, we use your browser's local storage (data that stays on your device and is only sent to Dinor when the app makes a request). All of it is strictly functional:
- dinor_token / dinor_staff — your dashboard sign-in session and profile (restaurant owners and staff).
- dinor_active_branch — which branch an owner is currently operating.
- dinor_admin / dinor_admin_access / dinor_admin_refresh — platform administrator sessions.
- dinor_session_<table> — a diner's active table session, so a page refresh doesn't lose your order.
- dinor_dismissed_announcements — remembers which dashboard announcements you closed.
These persist until you sign out, the session ends, or you clear your browser's site data. Clearing them simply signs you out — nothing else breaks.
3. Third parties that may set cookies
- Razorpay Checkout — when you open the payment window to buy a plan (or pay a restaurant that uses Razorpay), Razorpay loads its own checkout and may set cookies needed for payment processing and fraud prevention, under its own cookie policy.
- Hosting infrastructure — our hosts (Vercel for the website, Render for the API) may use strictly technical mechanisms to serve traffic reliably; they are not used by us to track you.
4. Managing this
